We really hope that other states will follow suit and become a wave surpassing the shift towards three-strikes and mandatory minimum sentences after California passed its draconian three-strikes you are out bill. This is the official statement from the White House: That police killings of Blacks or police brutalities are mainly local matters left up to local authorities. This is disheartening but shows a disturbing trajectory. Churches, religious leaders, civil rights advocates and individuals should not remain silent. These are strange days calling for proactive prayer and proactive engagement.
